Laurie Bacheldor

Senior Consultant, Aging Care Specialist

Laurie has over 30 years of senior level nonprofit and government agency experience. She is a community leader with significant experience in county-level government, community organization, nonprofit administration, and program development.

She brings decades of experience promoting collaborative action to address regional and local priorities in Upstate New York. Her leadership skills offer a unique combination of direct service expertise coupled with the perspective of a nonprofit funder. She is a keen strategist who provides direction that drives performance and program improvement.

She is a graduate of Empire State College and has a BS in Human Service and an MS in Social Policy.

Kevin George

Senior Consultant

Kevin brings over 15 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. He has used his skills in business development, fundraising, and program development to provide next-level growth to a wide variety of nonprofit clients.

Prior to becoming a consultant, Kevin served for over a decade in leadership roles in the mental health field. Psychoeducational programs he helped develop and launch are currently being offered in over a dozen countries. Before joining the nonprofit sector, Kevin held a senior management position in the special events industry.

Kevin is a graduate of the State University at Albany and studied social policy at NYU. He is a proud native of Upstate New York and currently lives in New York City with his wife and two sons.

Christa Scott-Reed

Senior Consultant – SpeecH, Presentation, Events

Christa is a speech and presentation coach, director, and event producer who has helped high-placed professionals prepare for keynote speeches, press conferences, board presentations and more. She began her work at the Institute for Change (I4C), where she coached leaders of top political organizations in DC.

She is adept at helping speakers improve both their presentation style and speech content, while guiding them towards more ease and confidence.

Christa directs large-scale Off-Broadway plays, national tours, and a variety of new media work. An accomplished director and producer, her new media presentations have been seen in 91 countries. As an actor, Christa’s credits include Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional theatre, film, television, commercials and voiceovers. She has performed in over 50 professional theatre productions. Christa is an adjunct faculty member at The New School.

Christa holds a BA in Theatre from Whitman College and an MFA in Acting from the National Theatre Conservatory. She is a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, Screen Actors Guild/AFTRA and Actors Equity Association.

Tom Seltzer

Digital Media Consultant

Tom has been working in the digital design space since the days when it was called “New Media.” His professional expertise includes web design & development, print design, logo and identity work, illustration, animation, and copywriting. He has worked for a range of nonprofits, from giants of the field such as International Planned Parenthood to smaller, fast-growing entrants such as The Perception Institute.

His most recent one-man show in NYC was “Sheet Music,” which showcased his portraits of great jazz artists. (He also created the identities for Grammy-winner Nicholas Payton and Jane Monheit’s respective record companies.) Recently, he created the animation fo Jeremy Schonfeld’s rock opera Iron & Coal, which headlined the 2020 Prototype Festival in New York.

Tom was born in St. Louis, MO, but has lived in New York since he graduated from Columbia College. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife Inés, daughter Iliana and dog Jane.

Dan Dupraw

Social Media Marketing Consultant

Dan is a social media, marketing and communications expert working with clients all over the country to produce compelling and goal oriented content. Driven by data analytics with the goal to move organizations forward through content development, creative marketing plans, building brand awareness, and engaging their audiences to move them to action. 

Working in the east coast marketing industry. Dan brings 8 years of social media management experience, strong leadership, strategic planning and strategy to the table.

Dan has helped organizations pivot to the online space by training teams and producing high quality, virtual fundraisers and other events. The pandemic has brought unique struggles to everyone and Dan has spent the time helping organizations launch innovative initiatives to adapt to COVID-19, creating custom curated experiences for diverse guests through virtual events, both live and pre-recorded. 

Dan holds a Bachelor of Fine arts in Theatre from Western Michigan University and a certificate in Social Media Management from the University of San Francisco.

Grace McGrath

Intern

Grace is a recent college graduate who received a BS in Business Administration with a minor in Education from the University at Albany. While in college, Grace worked for the United Nations, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and various on and off-campus offices on social media, blogging, communications, podcasting, and website development.
 
She brings knowledge of the changing landscape of marketing to younger generations. Grace can effectively work with people because of the teams she has been on with her previous and current work. Presently, she is an AmeriCorps VISTA in Helena, Montana, working for the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education as well as being head of social media for the Helena Young Professionals.
